Those who followed anti post favourite Fire Height Dan, when he finished second in all three eliminating rounds of the competition, at last got their reward when he put in a powerful run to win the all important round, the Final, taking the Winner’s £12,000 prize, the Silver Challenge Trophy and commemorative Jacket. Fire Height Dan’s winning time 28.06 seconds, Charlie Lister took the runners up spot with Droopys Best, just one and a half lengths behind.
